Manuel Pulido and Joaquín Serralta, Director and Deputy Director of IIAMA, respectively, met yesterday with Amanjot Singh, a researcher at Credit Valley Conservation in Canada.
The meeting aimed to present the activities, research lines, and R&D+i projects developed at IIAMA, as well as to learn about the work led by Amanjot Singh, focused on water engineering and climate change.
“We aim to establish synergies, explore potential scientific collaborations and address other key issues related to water and the environment”, highlight IIAMA researchers.
The Canadian center is renowned for its researchs on the «One Water» strategy, which integrates the management of drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater. This holistic approach is vital for preserving the quality and quantity of water bodies, which face threats such as climate change, urbanization, and intensive agriculture.
Both institutions expressed satisfaction with the meeting and shared an interest in continuing to explore opportunities for collaboration.
